Oswego to deliver online health, wellness program under Open SUNY

A new SUNY Oswego online graduate certificate in health and wellness was among the programs announced as part of the second wave of Open SUNY+ programs by SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher on Oct. 16. When Open SUNY+ launched in January, Oswego had two of the first eight online programs available — a master’s in business administration and an MBA in health services administration.

Jim Farfaglia has recently released his third book of poems, Reach Out in the Darkness: How Pop Music Saved My Mortal Soul. Farfaglia will give a presentation of the book on October 23 at the river’s end bookstore. The event will feature music by Gina Holsopple and Matthew Wood.

1960s Music Inspires Book of Poems

When Jim Farfaglia was deciding on a theme for his latest book, he didn’t have to look farther than his record collection and the oldies radio station. Titled Reach out in the Darkness: How Pop Music Saved My Mortal Soul, Farfaglia crafted a book that features 60 poems about 1960s and 1970s singers and songs, and the cultural experience they created.

SUNY Oswego School of Business named to ‘best’ list for 11th year

SUNY Oswego’s School of Business appears on Princeton Review’s 2015 list of “The Best 296 Business Schools,” an annual distinction of more than a decade’s standing. “External validation, whether from Princeton Review or U.S. News, affirms the quality of our business programs,” said Richard Skolnik, dean of the business school.
