Pulaski High School Honors Recognition Dinner

The Pulaski Middle/Senior High School held a special Honors Recognition Dinner for students and their families to recognize outstanding academic achievement in the 2013-14 school year. Students who maintained a 95 or better average for the entire academic school year were honored and presented with achievement pins that featured a shield symbolizing knowledge to signify the special honor.

Every Dog Had Its Day On October 19

Eighty-four humans and 44 dogs braved the cold and wind on October 19 to attend “Every Dog Has Its Day,” the Oswego County Humane Society’s 5K-run/walk and 1-mile family walk at Fallbrook Recreation Center. “In spite of the weather, everyone had fun celebrating the special bond between people and pets and we are grateful to the business community for its support of this event,” said Jo Piersma, one of the event co-chairs.

Oswego County Responds to Ebola Concerns

Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang told the Oswego County Legislature’s Health Committee today (Oct. 29) that several county agencies are working closely with the county health department to develop procedures and precautionary plans in response to the Ebola virus. “I want to stress that we have no information about anyone in Oswego County who has or may have the disease. That being said, we are working with relevant county departments and agencies to coordinate a preparedness response to the Ebola virus.”
