‘Rocky Horror’ character Frank-ly makes case for comfort in one’s skin

The SUNY Oswego music and theatre departments welcome to the stage the cross-dressing scientist Dr. Frank N. Furter in “The Rocky Horror Show,” which runs 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 14 and 15 in the Hewitt Union ballroom. The bawdy horror-comedy dealing with sexual themes is recommended for mature audiences only.

Oswego County Historical Society to Host Lecture on Great Bear Springs

The Oswego County Historical Society will host the sixth lecture of the 2014 season on November 9 at 1:30 p.m at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St. The event is free and open to the public. Guest lecturer Dick Drosse will present a program entitled “Great Bear Springs – 110 Years of Spring Water.”

Entertaining Young Ones At The Library

Dilbert and the Book Fairy entertained children at story hour Oct. 31. Edward Elsner, librarian, and Karen Swartz, children’s program coordinator, donned the costumes. New Halloween-themed books featuring Llama, Llama and Ladybug Girl were read. Crafts including a pumpkin bag, spider, and bat were made and candy was found.
