Eight new audible pedestrian signals have been installed in Fulton to increase pedestrian safety for people with visual impairments. The signals are at the intersection of Route 3/Route 48 and at the corner of Route 481 and Oneida Street. Audible pedestrian signals are specialized crossing devices that provide visual, tactile, and audio cues.

Disaster Action Team volunteers from the American Red Cross of CNY provided assistance Monday to 17 people who were displaced from their home by a fire Sunday (Dec. 21) on Cable Road in Williamstown. The family has 11 adults and six children. Since last Monday, the chapter has responded to five fires in Cayuga, Onondaga and Oswego counties and assisted a total of 46 people. The three most recent fires (Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) were in Williamstown.
Fifth grade Kingsford Elementary School student Kylee Hadcock designed a poster for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s annual Arbor Day Poster Contest for fifth grade students held across New York State. Kylee’s poster was selected unanimously by three adult voters at Kingsford Park School to advance to the final round of the contest.
It will be a festive evening with the stained glass windows aglow, special holiday music and a Christmas meditation by Pastor Shawn Porter.
