Laker Hockey Ices Hobart, Heads To Quarterfinals

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team defeated Hobart College 6-1 Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship. The win, which took place at The Cooler in Geneva, gives the team its 19th of the season and allows it to continue its postseason run. The Lakers will now travel to Michigan to take on Adrian College in the NCAA quarterfinal round.

Katko Praises Upcoming Port Of Oswego Dredging Project

“As the only deep water port on the U.S. shores of Lake Ontario, the Port of Oswego is a critical asset for attracting new economic growth opportunities in Oswego County and across Central New York,” said Rep. Katko. “I have been in close contact with the Army Corps of Engineers in Buffalo and appreciate their efforts to make this project a reality. Dredging the shallow waterways of the harbor will allow more ships to navigate the port and provide an enormous boost to our regional economy.”

Fairley Students Bring Colonial History to Life

Hannibal fourth graders will never forget their learning of colonial history as they lived through the experience themselves at Ole Fashion Day. Students dressed as Native Americans, colonial soldiers, established Englishmen, farmers and more, living out historical past times like barn square dancing and tea parties in the tea room.
