Theresa E. Lalande-Marsh, 87, a resident of Minetto, died Friday August 14, 2015.
The Oswego Common Council has agreed on a budget proposal for 2016. The council will present a budget with a 1.6 percent tax hike later this month. That’s 1.6 “pending proofing,” the city chamberlain explained following Saturday’s marathon budget workshop.
SUNY Oswego’s enrollment of about 1,500 first-year students for the fall semester will approach and possibly surpass 2013’s class of first-year students — the largest since 1988 — and establish a new high-water mark in ethnic diversity. “It’s an exciting time.
