ORA Revitalization Leverages Nearly $1 Million in Investment in Targeted Oswego Neighborhoods

The Oswego Renaissance Association, a neighborhood revitalization organization in the city of Oswego, announced the completion of this year’s revitalization projects. According to residents, the results are really starting to show. “Several houses on the street have been repainted, even more have new landscaping,” said East Seventh Street homeowner Mark Greutman.

Oswego High School Interact Club Donates Blankets to Oswego Hospital Maternity Center

Members of the Oswego High School Interact Club recently visited Oswego Hospital’s maternity center to donate two dozen handmade baby blankets for the hospital’s newborns. This is an annual community service initiative that begins with the students doing fundraisers to raise enough money to purchase material for the blankets.

Reality Check Celebrates Great American Smoke Out

Reality Check members in Oswego County celebrated the “Great American Smoke Out “ by chalking the walkway of G. Ray Bodley High School’s main entrance. Students used chalk to outline life size paper cut out of the human body. Within each figure, students were encouraged to write about their experience with smoking, inspirational messages or any of the numerous tobacco facts provided by Reality Check.
