Students were in the holiday spirit at Leighton Elementary School for their “Tacky Sweater Contest” held prior to Christmas break. The contest winners included three boys and three girls.

Oswego City School District 2015 graduating seniors are invited to apply for scholarships or an occupational education award offered by the Oswego Rotary Club. Applications are available at the Oswego High School Guidance Office or at the Student Services Office of Oswego County CiTi.

Fitzhugh Park sixth grade students read the book “Each Kindness” by Jacqueline Woodson this past month during their PBIS plus instruction time with school social worker Amy Orr, Farnham Family Services student assistance counselor Linda Fischer, and school counselor Katie O’Leary.

In a move meant to capture a better art experience for art lovers, CNY Arts Center announces the transition of their downtown Arts in the Heart Gallery to Arts in the Heart Studio. Arts in the Heart Gallery recently moved to CNY Arts Center’s new facility in River Glen Plaza on the CCC Campus.

Open auditions will be held on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. and Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in the Frances Marion Brown Theater for the upcoming Oswego Players’ production of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple,” the female version.

District offices in Onondaga and Cayuga counties will be staffed full-time. Regular, weekly office hours will be held in Katko’s satellite offices in Wayne and Oswego counties.
