The Zonta Club of Oswego has planned an evening of entertainment, learning and fun on March 8 at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation in Mexico. Anchoring the evening will be special activities for young women ages 12-18 in order to promote women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
A chicken BBQ fundraiser is being planned at Quattrini Dehm VFW 5885, 14 Bronson St. It will be held on March 19. Vendors and crafters are wanted.

The staff at The Manor at Seneca Hill recently recognized longtime volunteer Gladys Little with a special party to thank her for her dedicated service. Little, who is a resident of the nearby Springside at Seneca Hill, has volunteered at the Oswego Health skilled nursing facility for the past 15 years.

SUNY Oswego alum, Linda Cohn set the record for most broadcasts anchored at SportsCenter with her edition airing Sunday on ESPN. Cohn graduated in 1981 from SUNY Oswego, where she also played on the women’s ice hockey team and has worked with SportsCenter since July of 1992.
Thursday night (2/18) in the city of Fulton the mayor of Fulton along with the Greater Oswego/Fulton Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable meeting about economic development in the city of Fulton. I couldn’t help but notice the absence of anyone from the Oswego County IDA (the nine members of the Industrial Development Agency), any of the seven member Oswego County legislature’s EDP (Economic Development & Planning Committee), or any of the eight members of the Economic Development & Poverty Reduction Task Force.
Wayne A. Truax Sr., 68, of Palermo, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 20, 2016.
The Hannibal High School Spanish Club will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on March 6 from noon – 4 p.m. at the Hannibal American Legion on Rochester Street. Dinners are $10 and will include spaghetti, meatballs, bread, and dessert.
