With our residents working to dig out this morning after the first significant snowfall of the season, we wanted to offer some safety tips to keep everyone safe. With the increased snowfall, snow accumulations can cover furnace or water heater vents, and can cause a deadly buildup of Carbon Monoxide gas in the home.
On Feb. 10 at 12:18 p.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested Perry F. Smith Jr., 21, of 11570 White Road, Cato. He was arrested for three counts of first-degree sex abuse, a class D felony and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. The arrest stems from the investigation into incidents that occurred on December 30 and 31 at a residence in the town of Granby.
