Oswego State men’s basketball downs Hawks
The Oswego State men’s basketball team completed a season sweep of New Paltz with a 73-57 road win over the Hawks on Tuesday night. Oswego’s win pushes its overall mark to 15-6 on the year and, most importantly, 8-6 in SUNYAC competition.

One of the emergency notification sirens surrounding the nuclear power plants in Scriba inadvertently early this morning (Feb. 10) due to an equipment failure. There is NO emergency at the three nuclear power plants.

Mayor Billy Barlow shared a recap of his first 40 days in office and his vision for the rest of his term with a large crowd of area business leaders on Tuesday afternoon. “Forty days in office and I’d say we’ve started with some momentum,” Barlow said. “We’re getting things done. Cooking Fire Damages Westside Oswego Residence
The Oswego Fire Department was dispatched to a multiple occupancy residential building for a reported cooking fire at 8:33 p.m. today (Feb. 9) at 136 W. Fourth St. OFD units arrived on the scene at 8:36 p.m. and reported smoke showing and that the building was being evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Hawks Soar Past Lakers on The Court
The Oswego State women’s basketball team stumbled to an 83-32 loss at SUNYAC-leader New Paltz on Tuesday evening. Oswego’s record falls to 3-18 on the year and 1-13 in conference action. The Hawks improve to 16-5 overall and 11-3 in the SUNYAC.
