Students Share Poetry

Students at the Stepping Stones Day Program celebrated Poetry Month by participating in the Fourth Street School’s second annual Poetry Café. CiTi library media specialist Tammy Cummings said several students wrote their own poems after learning about various styles poetry in class and in the library media center, where the poetry event was recently held.

Committee Recommends Support Of Application for National Marine Sanctuary

“We are nearing the end of our almost two-year project. For our nomination to succeed, the process begins with community support,” said Phil Church, Oswego County Administrator and chair of the Nomination Task Force. Southeastern Lake Ontario is eligible for consideration due to the age, type and preserved state of numerous historic shipwrecks and many other features. The designation would be an economic boon to the region.

Oswego County Drug Task Force Meth Lab Arrests Announced

On Wednesday, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed methamphetamine related search warrants at two locations in Oswego County. As a result, three people were charged.
