To be eligible for the award, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher. Student award winners received a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception.

Fulton City School District officials will discuss the voter propositions that will be presented this year at a public hearing to be held Wednesday, May 4 at the Education Center. The hearing is open to all members of the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in the Fulton Education Center auditorium located at 167 S. Fourth Street. On April 19, 2016 at approximately 11:28 a.m., State Police responded to a residence on County Route 10 in the town of Schroeppel for a physical domestic dispute in progress. Investigation at the scene determined June M. Atkins, 49, had damaged the vehicle of a family member during the course of an argument, police said.
On April 19, at approximately 12:09 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Seventh North Street in the town of Salina for a traffic violation. The operator, Randy J. Derochie, 27, of Central Square, was found to be operating without a license, and with a suspended registration, police said.
