Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Returns to Full Power

Operators returned Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 2 to full power this morning (May 7), following a planned refueling outage that started on April 11. While the unit was offline, skilled technicians replaced nearly one-third of the reactor’s fuel and performed thousands of inspections and maintenance activities.

When I was 10, on my first trip to NYC, my parents took me to Radio City Music Hall. I was brought to tears when the organs came out the side walls and the orchestra rose up from the floor. To me it was magical. Radio City’s two Wurlitzer Organs are the only two of its kind in the world. Interestingly, the organ players crawl through a tiny door to get to their stools without being noticed.

CiTi Career and Tech Students Leave NY SkillsUSA with Gold Medals

Career and Technical Education students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation left the New York State SkillsUSA competition with two gold medals this year, those students now qualify for the national competition that will take place in Kentucky this summer. CiTi CTE students also came home with two second place silver medals and one third place bronze medal.
