“The unique aspect of this book auction is the videos” said Nick Little, Oswego Bookmobile Board of Directors member. “City leaders like our own Mayor Barlow, were asked to read excerpts from one of the six books in order to give the bidders a glimpse into the stories and of course, they’re fun to watch.”
This Saturday Oswego Kartway will once again put on the RJ Kart Sales Fall Frenzy 100 at the Bullring, which will mark the fourth 100-lap event ever to be run on the Kartway’s racing surface.
It’s that time of the year again, the Fulton Youth Basketball Program has announced the dates to register youth for the 2016-2017 basketball season. Registration will be held on four separate occasions, starting Monday, October 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and continuing Thursday, October 6 from 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday, October 8 from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and Thursday, October 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
A Syracuse resident was charged in Fulton on Sept. 9. On Sept. 15, a mother and son were charged in Palermo.

The Friends of Fulton Parks partnered with Oswego County Opportunities Impact Program hosted a grand reveal of the newly refurbished Lake Neatahwanta nature trail on Saturday, Sept 17. The trail is one more project aimed at realizing the FoFP’s vision, “to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors by collaboratively restoring Fulton’s public parks,” according to the pamphlet.
Community members who have prediabetes are encouraged to enroll and learn how to make important life style changes to improve their health status. This proven, year-long program starts Oct. 6 at the Oswego YMCA, located at 265 W. First St.
The Oswego Girls’ JV Volleyball team went 10-0 on the day to win the Gold Division Championship game on Saturday in Central Square. Finishing first in pool play with a 6-0 record we faced off against a tough West Genny team and won the semi-final game 2-0 in sets. The championship match we faced off with Fulton who had just beat host Central Square. In the championship match we beat Fulton 25-14 and 25-15.
An internationally respected and straight-forward parenting program is now being offered throughout Oswego County. The Circle of Security Parenting Series offers caregivers the opportunity to learn different ways to strengthen their relationships with their children. Any adult who cares for children can benefit from this program.
