The Oswego County Health Department has reported that a SUNY Oswego freshman has contracted the mumps virus. The student began showing symptoms last Friday and was diagnosed and treated at the college’s Mary Walker Health Center on Monday (Sept. 12). The student was immediately isolated to prevent the spread of the disease on campus.
Lawrence M. Austin, 88, formerly of Lyons, NY, passed away on Monday September 12, 2016, at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, after a short illness.

Most Reverend Bishop Robert J. Cunningham is pleased to announce today (Sept. 14) the appointment of Michael Huynh as Associate Director of Campus Ministry in the Diocese of Syracuse. Slow start for us tonight, but we bounced back. The first set was a lot of back and forth volleyball, we have several good contacts and then JD had several good contacts. Both teams made minimal errors in the first set of the match. And we got behind for a little and turned it around near the end of the first set.
