A.A. Cole Elementary School proudly celebrated the red, white and blue during its Patriot Day celebration on Sept. 12. Fourth graders marched into the gymnasium as they presented the country’s colors and several flags reflective of first responders’ heroic efforts during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Carl Thomas “Fireball” Roberts, 81, of Fulton, (Granby), passed away on Saturday September 10, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, NY.

Helen S. Stacy, 70, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
The annual Buc Boosters Girls’ JV Volleyball tournament was a big success. Nine teams from around Section 3 came to the Oswego High School gym to compete in the annual tournament. Host team Oswego finished 1st in pool play and lost in the Gold division semifinal to the eventual Gold winner Liverpool.
Sparrow Wielt was born in Oswego Hospital on Sept. 10, 2016, at 4:26 p.m.
