A pair of open houses on Oct. 28 and 29 will welcome the public to a recent renaissance for some of the most popular spaces in SUNY Oswego’s renovated arts building, Tyler Hall. A campus open house from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, will feature tours of the renovated spaces, musical performances, refreshments and more.

Fulton Native’s Murderer Executed In Atlanta

Justice has been served for a former Fulton family – after a 19-year wait. Convicted cop killer Gregory Lawler was executed this evening in Atlanta. The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles denied his request for clemency and he was put to death late Wednesday night. Lawler, 63, was convicted for the Oct. 12, 1997, murder of Atlanta police officer John “Rick” Sowa – a native of Fulton, NY. “I’m glad it’s over. For me, 19 years of waiting is over,” Sowa’s mother, Christine Carlson Roth, told Oswego County Today.
