The Allen Speiser Memorial Fund for Vocational Rehabilitation is accepting grant applications from programs that promote the placement and retention of employees with disabilities in the workforce. The application deadline is March 3.
Joshua Eric Hudson of Fulton was named to The University of Alabama’s President’s List. A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at UA were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).
Students named to the Fulton Junior High School’s honor roll for the second marking quarter are as follows:
Jo Piersma, Oswego attorney and a steering committee member of the Leave A Legacy of Oswego County, spoke to the Fulton Rotary Club about the cooperative effort to advocate for planned charitable giving (leaving written requests in a will for estate monies to be shared with various non-profit groups) and educate people on how to go about doing this.
The Friends of the Library and Oswego Bookmobile will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser on February 19. It will be held at the Masonic Lake City Lodge #127, 765 E. Seneca St. The hours will be from 8 a.m. – noon.
State Senator Patty Ritchie has been named to a new leadership post on the Senate Health Committee, a position that will help her to more strongly advocate for improved health care for the people she represents across Central and Northern New York.
To make Dean’s List, students must have at least a 3.4 GPA and can get no grade lower than a C.
To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.
