U.S. Rep. John Katko will participate in a live town hall event May 15 at 7 p.m. at Onondaga Community College. The town hall is hosted by CNY Central and will be broadcast on WSTM-NBC 3 and WTVH-CBS 5.
Led by trophy girl Mackenzie Coleman and established prior to the 2015 season, Oswego Speedway Divas on Track allows girls ages 5-18 to be trophy girl for the night at the Steel Palace. More than two dozen divas have signed up and participated in the program over the course of the past two seasons to take part in the evening’s trophy girl activities with Coleman.

When most people think of dangerous jobs, farming probably does not immediately come to mind. However, the fatality rate for farmers is 800 percent higher than all other American workers, with the leading cause of death on a farm being tractor rollover incidents. In the past few years, I have been proud to have secured $1.2 million in funding, including $250,000 in the new state budget, for a program that helps to protect farmers from tractor rollover incidents.
The Oswego County Historical Society will host its annual meeting presentation on May 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the historic Oswego Public Library at 120 E. Second St. During the membership meeting, board president Justin White will present a brief annual report of the projects and events of the year. Immediately following, White will give a special encore presentation of the program entitled “Grand Old Homes of Oswego – Gone & Forgotten.”
The blood drive will be held from 9 to 6 p.m. in the JPC conference room in the lower level of the Oswego Health Services Center, which is adjacent to Oswego Hospital.
