SUNY Oswego officials have reported that Natalie A. Smith, a VISTA member assigned to SUNY Oswego and reported missing since June 9, was located by New York State Police investigators Friday evening, June 16, in Brooklyn. Smith is well and, upon interviewing with state police investigators at the 72nd Precinct, has indicated her wishes to remain in Brooklyn.
At approximately 1:07 p.m., sheriff’s deputies along with rescue personnel from the Liverpool Fire Department and AMR ambulance responded to the area of Vine Street and Commerce Boulevard after receiving a 911 call reporting that a man had been struck by a train.

On the brink of heading to arbitration, the city of Fulton and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3063 representing the Fulton Fire Department have reached a contract agreement after years of failed negotiations. There are few places where I go out of my way to revisit. Hocking Hills in the southeast part of Ohio near Logan is one of those places.
