Oswego County Couple injured in Motorcycle Accident

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a motorcycle accident in the 2100 block of West Genesee Road near the Interstate 690 underpass in the town of Lysander, which injured an Oswego County couple. Both were transported to Upstate University Hospital, where the male driver is currently being treated for a hip injury while the female passenger is being treated for a serious head injury.

Oswego School District Announces Free, Reduced Price Meals, Milk Guidelines

The Oswego City School District has announced its 2017-2018 income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced price meals and milk. As part of the National School Lunch Program, OCSD offers nutritionally balanced meals to students at no cost or a reduced cost based on a household’s income.

The map shows the boundary of Toad Harbor Swamp mosquito spray area in Oswego County. Aerial spraying will take place as soon as weather conditions are conducive. The schedule will be announced on the Oswego County website at http://www.oswegocounty.com, and through the news media. Oswego County residents will also be notified through Oswego County’s E-911 Hyper-Reach Broadcast Notification Service.

Oswego County Health Department Prepares for Aerial Spraying

The Oswego County Health Department has received notification from New York State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker of the declaration of an “Imminent Threat to Public Health” for mosquito-borne disease. The declaration enables the County Health Department to take steps, including aerial spraying, to control mosquito populations in Oswego County.
