Two things. We realized that the column we wrote about the new rehoming website, which we called Adopt-A-Pet.com, was confusing because we had the name wrong. It’s rehome.adoptapet.com. Our apologies for that. Do check it out – it’s a great new resource. The second thing. It’s time for our annual party pooper column in which we try to ruin Halloween for pet owners. It’s our job and the message is simple. Pets HATE it when their people start acting weird and other people, also acting weird, start showing up at the door uninvited.

Troopers Continue To Investigate Early Morning Crash In Lysander

State Police in Lysander are investigating a three-car crash that occurred this morning (Oct. 18) on State Route 48 (Oswego Road) in the town of Lysander. The investigation revealed a 2009 Chevrolet pickup and a 2011 Hyundai were traveling south on State 48 when a 2014 Chevrolet failed to yield the right of way by attempting to turn left from State 48 onto Short Cut Road and striking the pickup truck. The pickup truck was then struck from behind by the Hyundai which causes the pickup truck to travel off the roadway and come to rest on the property of 9477 Oswego Road fully engulfed in fire.

‘Witches Ball’ To Benefit SAF

“With October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month our goal at SAF is to raise awareness of domestic violence in Oswego County and empower community members to take a stand to help bring an end to domestic violence in our communities. When Tammy Elowsky of Zonta suggested the idea of a Halloween themed fundraiser for SAF we were excited about having the ‘Witches Ball’ serve as the culmination of our Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities,” said SAF Community Response Coordinator Stacie France.
