Once again, Fulton Community Theatre presents its long-running cabaret, “An Evening on Broadway!” a dinner theatre experience that is sure to please all ages. This year’s theme is “What’s up the Street” as a cast of very talented performers brings to you the music of those shows who started their run off Broadway.
It had been since 2011 since the all-time points system for Oswego Speedway’s Supermodifieds had been updated, but that changed earlier this week and the new top five provided an interesting shift as well as a new all-time points leader for the first time since the mid-1990s.
Fifteen not-for-profit organizations received grant awards totaling $329,000 from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation in the last of three 2017 grant rounds at its November board meeting. The pancake breakfast on Nov. 19, at Oswego’s Masonic hall, Lake City Lodge #127, will benefit Oswego’s Blessings in a Backpack program. Served from 8 a.m. to noon, the menu includes pancakes, French toast, eggs, hash browns, bacon, orange juice and coffee.
Rev. Chuck Forbes, pastor of the Minetto United Methodist Church announced that a Thanksgiving Eve Communion service will be held at the church on November 22 at 6:30 p.m.
The newest Citizen Soldiers to complete Army basic combat training and advanced individual training were welcomed to their units during a New York Army National Guard battle handoff ceremony.
At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Peggy Donnelly introduced Rob and Mary Beth Hill from Blessings in a Backpack. They are the driving force behind this project which helps to feed approximately 180 children attending Fulton’s elementary schools.
A crash this evening (Nov. 10) involving a gasoline tanker and a pickup truck has claimed the lives of two people. The accident happened on State Route 3 near Munger Hill Road in the Town of Mexico just before 6 p.m. Two passengers in the pickup were killed, deputies said.
