Ray Bodley High School senior Jeremy Herlowski has always been dedicated to his theatrical performances and his portrayal of Uncle Fester in the Quirk’s Players recent production of “The Addams Family” was no different. When the use of wig caps floundered, Herlowski knew there was only one way to achieve the perfect Uncle Fester bald-headed look: shave his head.

Pet of the Week – Fluffy

She was the first cat rescued of the Boylston Sweet 16, a group of cats of all ages and descriptions rescued by the Oswego County Humane Society and United Friend of Homeless Animals after the roof of their house collapsed during a blizzard. She is still amazing – beautiful and sweet and friendly and and calm. She gets along fine with other cats, likes people and attention, and she’s getting a little lonely in the “cat room.”

Kick Butts Day 2017 – Don’t Become A Replacement Smoker

My name is Rachel LeVea. I am 17 years old and I am a 12th grade student at G.Ray Bodley High School. Nearly 10 percent of Americans in my age range are already smokers. Furthermore, 5.6 million Americans under age 18 will die early due to a smoking-related illness. On Kick Butts Day, I will declare that I will not be included in either of those statistics.

Camp Hollis Accepting Applications For 2017 Counselor-in-Training Program

Summer is right around the corner and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is accepting applications for the Counselor-in-Training positions at Camp Hollis. Youth aged 15 or 16 years old may apply to be accepted into this training program. Camp Hollis will accept up to four 15-year-old participants and up to four 16-year-old participants.

It’s All About The Bonds

Last November at the city of Fulton budget public hearing I spoke. I said, “Zero tax increase. I can’t say anything bad about it and it seems to be great, but I will hold off on saying it’s great until next year and see how much you (CC) bond during the year. If you don’t bond anything then I will say it is a great budget” Well it didn’t take long to move what seemed to be great into the classification of “Fake Budgeting.”
