Anyone who purchases a Lions Loot Ticket in February will receive a dozen roses for free, announced club President Dave Guyer. The Fulton Lions Club’s second and final “Lions Loot” sweepstakes Early Bird drawing will be drawn at the February board meeting. A total of five names will be drawn for the prize of $100 each.
Phoenix Musicians Perform at All-County Band Festival
Nearly 20 Phoenix Central School District middle school students showcased their musical talents during the recent All-County Band Festival held in Hannibal. The annual event was spearheaded by the Oswego County Music Educators Association and featured 74 student musicians representing all nine school districts throughout the county.
OCO Teen Pregnancy Prevention Garnering Community Support
Through partnerships with the Fulton, APW, and Mexico school districts and a grant from the U.S Department of Health & Human Services Office of Adolescent Health, OCO health educators and peer educators have been addressing teen pregnancy prevention and other sexual health related issues.

Oswego Health’s Maternity Center continues to be recognized for the safe and high-quality care it provides to new families. The facility has received the Certificate of Excellence award for its hepatitis B immunization program.

The Oswego County Autism Taskforce will bring another valuable workshop for parents and educators this March entitled, “Ain’t Just MisBehavin,” Social Understanding and Emotional Regulation. The conference will be presented by Kari Dunn-Buron, educator and author.
