Oswego County homeowners and small business owners who have failing septic systems in environmentally-sensitive areas may be eligible for assistance through the New York State Septic System Replacement Program. The program is administered by the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning.

On Friday, State Police received a call from a parent of a Mexico Middle School student who advised that her daughter received a message, from an unknown source, of a possible school shooting on March 26 at the Mexico Middle School. As a result of the investigation, State Police said a 14-year-old was arrested for one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor and issued an Oswego County Family Court appearance ticket.
