Phillip Cady has announced his candidacy for Oswego County Sheriff and is currently seeking the endorsement of the Republican and Conservative parties. Cady recently retired as a Sergeant – Station Commander from the New York State Police with more than 20 years of law enforcement experience which also included time with the cities of Fulton and Oswego police
Several area residents spent their 2018 spring break volunteering to help homeowners and provide human services in several communities around the nation through SUNY Oswego’s Alternative Spring Break program.
Libraries serve as a valuable resource for millions of residents in both rural and urban areas. In New York state there are more than 750 libraries. They are usually centrally located in communities and function both as a free and public space for events and provide key resources to people all ages. In addition to providing traditional services and educational resources, libraries provide free computer and internet access.

Open to youth ages 8 through 14, Camp Hollis offers a week-long summer residential camp experience for 9- to 14-year-olds, a week-long day camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for youth ages 6 to 12, and an overnight experience for 8-year-olds.

At its March meeting, the Fulton Amateur Radio Club presented a check for $100 to Pamela Cantine, wife of Thomas G. Cantine, as a donation to the Thomas G. Cantine Memorial Scholarship.
The crowd was kind of small compared to other years. However, their donations were huge. Several dozen volunteers put on the 12th annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser Sunday at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center. From noon until 3 p.m. more than 112 “shavees” paraded to barber chairs have their hair shaved by volunteer barbers, including students from CiTi. Their goal this year was to raise $75,000. By mid-afternoon, they were almost there.
