Greater Pulaski Community Fund Now Accepting Grant Applications

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations serving Pulaski or the town of Richland. The grant application deadline is May 15. Proposals are encouraged from a variety of program areas including education, health, social services, arts and culture, civic concerns, and preservation of historic resources.

Tyler (1855-1931) was one of the more prolific maritime artists of his day and his works still inspire as part of fine arts collections across the nation. “Fascination” (pictured) depicts the yacht of the same name, built at the Goble Dry Dock in Oswego and is part of the Maritime Museum’s collection.

The History of Great Lakes Maritime Art Highlighted

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego is pleased to present the first installment the 2018 History Lecture Series featuring Randy Marshall. Marshall will provide a brief presentation on the history of maritime art, and will also be displaying pieces from his own collection in the museum’s art gallery – some of which originated in Oswego.

Child Advocacy Center and Community Partners Plant Pinwheels For Prevention

The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and Child Protection Advisory Council members, Catholic Charities of Oswego County, United Way of Greater Oswego County, Oswego County Opportunities, Oswego County Health Department, school districts and the Oswego County Department of Social Services have come together to be a part of the CAC’s Pinwheels for Prevention program.

SUNY Oswego Event Boosts Awareness, Prevention Of Relationship Violence

During Yards for Yeardley, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, April 23, on the academic quad, SUNY Oswego students, faculty and staff and members of the community will walk to remember and to prevent domestic and dating violence on college campuses and communities. This is the third year in a row the campus has embraced this program brought to universities by the One Love Foundation.

Oswego Speedway Announces Group Time Trial and Handicapping Format for 2018
