Thanks to many generous donations from all over Oswego and the surrounding counties, the Oswego County 4-H Program will fill the Believers Chapel in Mexico to the rafters. Visit on July 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; everything is priced to sell.

The public is invited to come explore nature at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center on Thursday mornings this summer. The center will be offering family-oriented morning activities on July 5, 19, 26 and August 2, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

SUNY Oswego faculty members Gonzalo Aguiar of modern languages and literatures and David Dunn of biological sciences will receive the 2018 President’s Award for Excellence in Academic Advisement.

Dean’s List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Inez Parker, organizer of the May book sale at the Church of the Resurrection, gives 10 percent of the sale’s proceeds to Oswego’s Blessings in a Backpack program, represented by Beth Hallinan, the program’s co-coordinator.
