To paraphrase a classic movie, “The woodlands are alive with sound of music,” bird song of course, and the music is enchanting.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Club Meeting, Rotarian Patrick Waite gave an update of Oswego County Opportunities programs and offerings to the public.

The production features a huge cast of area youth with Emma Deloff in the role of Dorothy, Sean Metcalf as the Tin Woodsman, Layne Osbourne as the Cowardly Lion, Gianna Ellingwood as the Scarecrow, and Arianna Lee Jones as Toto.

One of the region’s longest-running summer enrichment programs, the Sheldon Institute for Barbara Shineman Scholars at SUNY Oswego will return for its 41st year from July 22 to Aug. 2.

The Community Arts Center in Fulton announces a new Arts Market to run concurrent with the farmers’ market each Saturday in Fulton, from 9 a.m. – noon on sunny Saturdays. Artists and art vendors are invited to apply for booth space at the new market to be held outside the Arts Center and on the sidewalk leading to the parking lot where the farmers’ market will be held.

Erin Lohnas will continue training in the use of the 3D printer in June at the Oswego Library in order to create viable workshops relating to the subject matter.
