Richard Swierczek, Fulton’s ‘Music Man,’ Says Thank You

To the Editor:
On Thursday, August 24, I was guest conductor of the Fulton Community Band, at the invitation of its founder and director, Carol Fox.

First I want to thank Oswego County Today and Steve Chirello for the coverage.

I thank Carol and the band, who were active participants and to the audience which included former members of the GRB Band, which I directed many years ago.

I thank all of the city of Fulton for the support which it gave to our city schools music programs, and to the community music programs, all of which earned recognition far beyond Fulton.

My wife, Anne Snyder Swierczek, and our six daughters, as well as all my relatives and forebears enjoyed and benefitted from all the years we lived there.

Many thanks to all of Fulton.
