The recent action of the Common Council to table the Bus Ordinance still leaves us in need of a solution to the problem of house parties. I would like to make a suggestion that might help control the problem.
Recently, I asked people in the Central and Northern New York regions to cast their votes for their favorite farmers’ market in my 2012 Online Farmers’ Market Survey.
The response was overwhelming, and there definitely were some close calls.
With August upon us, farmers’ markets and local produce stands are displaying a bountiful harvest. From flowers, to peaches, to honey and all the makings for a great salad, the markets have something to offer us all.
I would like to remind the residents of Oswego County that the village of Pulaski will host the August session of the Oswego County Legislature at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse on August 9 at 2 p.m.
Established through the Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County, with additional funding from Alliance Bank, the community garden is providing participating city residents with the opportunity to enjoy fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers right from their own garden.
The Oz Roller Girls will return to action by hosting Shoreline Roller Derby’s Salty Broads from Connecticut on Aug. 18, in Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink.
