Oswego sports teams have been active during the past week. Oswego swimmers and runners had solid individual performances in recent outings. Despite winning six of eleven events, the Oswego High School Lady Bucs swim team lost to Auburn 91-79.
Leona Looker, 94; of Fulton died Friday at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.
Ralph Sasso, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Rosario Joseph Vescio Sr., 83, of Minetto died Wednesday at Strong Memorial Hospital due to injuries from an automobile accident.

Quirk’s Players are gearing up for their Fall show, but their stage is a bit crowded these days. Also today, an overseas trip is in the works; the Dance Team takes part in a fundraiser; new movies are reviewed; a trip to Macedon’s corn maze is recommended; in sports, football keeps on working hard while the boys soccer squad falls to CBA.
When the stadium was renovated, one of the changes involved replacing the sets of stairs with ramps for handicapped access.
The long ramps now run from the edges of each side of the bleachers to the center of the bleachers.
The stairs are gone.
The After School program provides students with computer access and tutoring assistance to help them with their studies.
