State Police Seek Public Assistance With Identifying Suspect

State Police in Fulton are investigating two larceny incidents committed by a white man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build. The suspect was seen operating a silver Nissan pickup truck. State Police in Fulton are asking for assistance in identifying the pictured male and vehicle.

Oswego Council Tables Proposed Zone Change

A proposed change of zone for certain property located in the Seventh Ward from an R2 Residential District to a B2 Central Business District was tabled at Monday’s Common Council meeting. However, City Attorney Kevin Caraccioli pointed out a zone change for the property wouldn’t be the right thing to do. Doing a use variance would be the prudent manner to proceed, he explained.

Oswego School District Readies For Office Move

The Oswego City School District is moving ahead with plans to relocate its Central Offices. The district looks to move out of the Education Center and into the northeast part of Frederick Leighton Elementary School. As part of the move, renovations are also under way for Oswego High School, across the street from Leighton. The technology department will be housed there. Superintendent Dr. Dean Goewey expects the move to take place sometime in last August.
