Hundreds of people in and around the Port City have expressed the desire to save the former Cahill’s Fish Market. Local entrepreneur Tony Pauldine said he is the man for the job. Tuesday evening in the conference room in the lower level of Canal Commons, he addressed his plan to save the historic Cahill Building. Nearly two dozen people were on hand to hear his plan and offer comments.
Dr. Nicole Krzyiewski, a 2006 graduate of Mexico High School, has returned to Oswego County and opened a chiropractic practice in Fulton. Canalview Chiropractic, PC, opened its doors on August 11. The practice aims to serve Fulton and the surrounding communities by provided high quality chiropractic care.
There will be a public hearing at 6 p.m., just prior to the start of the meeting, to provide members of the general public an opportunity to speak on the proposed 2016 operating budget for the city.

At Monday night’s meeting, the Common Council scheduled a public hearing regarding the tentative spending plan. The public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 13 W. Oneida St.
Mikey comes to the Oswego County Humane Society through United Yorkie Rescue. He’s 10-13 years old, neutered and house-trained. He gets along well with other dogs and LOVES to go for walks. Because of his age, he does have some medical issues (don’t we all?).

“The goal of study was to develop a strategic regional tourism plan and apply for grant funding in the future,” said Janet Clerkin, tourism and public information coordinator for the Oswego County Tourism Office. “This project will give us information on where our visitors come from, how long they stay, how much money they spend, reasons for visiting, and more.” Recently, Clerkin shared some of the results of that study with the county’s Tourism Advisory Council.
John “Jack” A. Reynolds, 80, a resident of Oswego, passed away Thursday August 20, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.
