Ride for Ramps Powers ARISE’s Ramp Program
ARISE revved up its Ride for Ramps program in Saturday. In honor of the 25th year of the ADA proclamation, members of ARISE and a slew of volunteers hosted a fundraiser with assistance from Lighthouse Lanes and Oswego Speedway. More than 100 motorcycle enthusiasts joined in to help raise funds for the ramps program.

East Second Street Re-Opens Near Oswego Library
In regards to the road closure issued by the Oswego Codes Division of the Oswego City Fire Department on May 27, East Second Street has been re-opened for traffic between East Bridge Street and Oneida Street. Due to the continued concerns with the decorative façade of the Oswego Public Library, there are barriers indicating a lane shift.

Pet of the Week – Jameson
Jameson is a big, handsome, friendly feller who is ready for his forever home. He loves to play with catnip toys and has a wonderful hearty purr. He might be a bit of Maine Coon, or he might not. He has the looks and the size but we don’t know and he certainly doesn’t care as long as he has a comfy bed and someone to love him.

Many of them go their entire careers without having to make that life-changing decision. On Friday, May 8, 2015, Deputy Mark Walton was faced with that difficult decision when a despondent subject pointed a loaded shotgun at him.

BREAKING NEWS: No Charges To Be Filed Against Deputy In Auringer Road Shooting
At a joint press conference moments ago (May 29), the New York State Police, Oswego County Sheriff’s Office and the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office announced that there would be no charges filed against the deputy who fatally shot a man on May 8 at 168 Auringer Road in the town of Constantia.
