Councilor Mike Todd asked that the city get together with the Tree Advisory Board and Oswego Tree Stewards to set some definite rules and guidelines as to the duties and responsibilities of each group. If there is a tree in need of immediate attention, he said, he feels confident that DPW Commissioner Mike Smith and his tree crew should be allowed to take the necessary action without having to wait for an opinion from an advisory board.
The 14th Annual Trinity Catholic School Adult Spelling Bee will be held Friday at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the spelling bee starts at 7 p.m. This popular fundraiser will be sure to provide an evening of fun!

Eugene G. Saloga, 86, a resident of East Sixth Street in Oswego, passed away Thursday October 31, 2013, in Oswego Hospital.

On October 30, Troopers from the Fulton Barracks were dispatched to a 2-car motor vehicle accident on County Route 8 in the Town of Granby. Mathew S. Bivens, 33, of Fulton, reportedly died as a result of the crash.
