Oswego County Opportunities Celebrates 45th Anniversary
The organization celebrated its milestone Tuesday afternoon at the Senior Dinning and Activities Center in the Fulton Municipal Building. It is looking forward to another 45 years of ‘building partnerships that improve the quality of life and create successful communities.’
“Camp Hollis is a landmark for Oswego County. It really is. I am glad to be a part of it,” says Brandon Morey. There are certain things that make a camp a camp and should never be changed, never ever, he said, adding he hopes to continue and enhance Camp Hollis’ tradition for many years to come.
Assemblyman Will Barclay presented a pair of local heroes with NYS Assembly Resolutions honoring them for their life-saving efforts in January. Lori Lawton, an Oswego City School District bus aide, and Jack Zeller, a bus driver for the district, were honored at the Transportation Center during a brief ceremony March 11 attended by dozens of their friends, family and co-workers.
