City Officials Receive Keys To Lighthouse
This afternoon (July 14), Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ursula W. Walther, of the US Coast Guard station, presented Mayor Randy Bateman with the key to the historic landmark. After several years of waiting, city officials took ownership of the lighthouse.
Board Approves Volunteer Work On Wilber Field
The Oswego City School District Board of Education today (July 14) approved the acceptance of a bid for sod replacement at Joe Wilber Field and allowing a volunteer to prepare the field for the sod installation. Oswego County Legislature Approves Additional Funds, Staffing For DSS
Legislators approved accepting a $500,000 state grant for DSS. The money will be used for improving supervisory practices, increasing staff and enhanced and training.
Youth Court Training Under Way
The ranks of Oswego County’s Youth Court could swell by nearly two dozen soon. Teens from across the county are taking part in YC training this week. Youth Court is a recognized community diversion program aimed at keeping young offenders out of Family Court.
