Farmers, Legislators Beef About Slaughterhouse Plan
Proposal to site the nation’s largest slaughterhouse somewhere in Oswego County doesn’t sit well with many. “We shouldn’t be leaping into something that hasn’t been done before, has no track record anywhere,” a member of the Oswego County Farm Bureau’s board cautions legislators The county won’t take any action until it receives a lot more information, the legislature’s chairman said.

curb the noise problems in the First Ward. The fenced-in area on Water Street, where the Open Container Ordinance is waived during Harborfest, was also OK’d again.
