In celebration of Endangered Species Day, the Blue Team at Stepping Stones Day Program reaffirmed its commitment to protecting wildlife. As the students in Robyn Yorker’s classroom learned about the national day, they learned about New York State’s wildlife and how to get involved in protecting endangered species and their habitats.

The proverb “manners maketh man” relays to us that politeness and good manners are essential to humanity. This proverb is often used as a way to remind people to be polite.
The Phoenix Central School District music department recently presented an evening of entertainment featuring the middle school and high school jazz bands. In separate performances, each band played six songs ranging from jazz classics to today’s hits.
With a hunger for education and cultural immersion, Hannibal High School Spanish teacher Kristina Licatese-Linn is ready to take that passion across the globe this summer as a Fulbright scholar. The six-week program provides 15 language teachers nationwide with an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Peruvian culture.
The annual ceremony opened with a warm welcome from G. Ray Bodley High School Principal Donna Parkhurst and FTA Executive Vice President Karen Noel before FTA President David Derouchie offered remarks. Honorees and guests were treated to a comedic speech by GRB seniors David Houck and Jeremy Herlowski, who also were award recipients.
All students received special recognition during a Morning Express program and were encouraged by Principal Jean Sampsell to finish strongly in the fourth and final marking period.
