Hannibal High School students are exploring potential careers and gaining hands-on experience in collaboration with area businesses. The entrepreneurship class recently wrapped up a project-based learning effort that culminated in a business pitch to a panel of potential “investors.”

The 5th annual Kingsford Park School Triathlon was held on June 2 at Oswego Middle School and included a 100m fun run for children in kindergarten and pre-K. Medals were presented to the top three in each heat.
Due the rainy weather that occurred during May’s scheduled Bird Song Saunter, the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center has rescheduled the program. On June 15 at 7 p.m. (rain date, June 16), delight in an evening concert along woodland trails of the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center.
Music filled the Paul V. Moore High School Auditorium recently as the Central Square Middle School band and chorus presented a medley of songs.
The group was commended during a recent Morning Express program where they received a “brag tag” to add to their collection and applause from guests, teachers and peers.
With a desire to help others, Phoenix National Junior Honor Society members recently hosted a fundraiser benefiting the Ronald McDonald house of Syracuse. Students held a “lap-a-thon,” along the indoor track and solicited sponsors for each completed lap during a 30-minute time period.
The Sandy Creek Varsity Softball team became Section III Class C Champions following their 9-0 victory over Tully on May 30 at OCC. The Sandy Creek team will now advance to the New York State Regional competition this Friday, June 2, at Union Endicott High School vs. Elmira Notre Dame.
