Fabric Sale Fundraiser For Oswego County 4-H

Thanks to many generous donations from all over Oswego and the surrounding counties, the Oswego County 4-H Program will fill the Entertainment Building at the fairgrounds to the rafters! Visit the Oswego County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; everything is priced to sell. The sale’s proceeds benefit the Oswego County 4-H Program, part of Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Of Oswego County Announces Youth Shooting Sports Programs

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County is accepting registrations into its Shooting Sports Programs. These programs are open to all girls and boys ages 12 to 19 who are interested in rifles and/or archery. Both programs will be held at the North Sportsman’s Club in West Monroe. The Shooting Sports Rifle program will be held on Tuesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. beginning July 11 and the Archery program will be held Fridays from 5 – 7 p.m., July 7, 14th, 21, and August 11 and 18.

Author Michael Miller Visits Oswego Public Library

On Wednesday June 21 at 5:30 p.m. local author Michael Miller will talk about High Bridge, his novel set in the Erie Canal era. The main characters are Matilda Gage and Grover Cleveland; “Two oft-forgotten, future leaders of the 19th century, a freethinking suffragist and an American president, [who] work to clear an innocent Black man accused of murder.”
