The Palermo Church will host its annual Family Fun Day combined with its annual Community Lawn Sale Day on August 20 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. inside and outside on the church lawn.

Several Emerson J. Dillon Middle School students have earned either gold or silver star honors on their report cards for Marking Period 4. Students who achieved a quarterly average of 90 or higher, with no failing or incomplete grades, earned a gold star.

The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is looking for book donations to support AmeriCorps’ Little Free Library program. The Little Free Libraries are small public boxes which hold books for the community’s use. The libraries house primarily children’s books and teen or young adult books.

Nurses from Michaud Residential Health Services, St. Luke Health Services and Bishop’s Commons will offer their popular community bone density screening on August 2 at the State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State St., Fulton, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The bone density screening is free of charge and open to the public.

Last year, a new scholarship was created in the name of Los Angeles resident and Oswego native Joe Spereno to benefit an Oswego High School student continuing his or her education in the field of music.
