Nearly 100 Dennis M. Kenney Middle School students were honored during a recent ceremony celebrating academic achievement, improvement and overall contributions to the Hannibal Central School District. Middle school teachers, administrators and staff members applauded the honorees, which included students in fifth through eighth grades.
Participants in SUNY Oswego’s summer English Immersion Program made a visit to Bishop’s Commons Enriched Housing Residence in Oswego for a chance to practice their language skills with seniors. Students traveled to Oswego to participate in the program from as far away as Turkey, Thailand, and European, Caribbean and South America countries.
Hannibal middle school students recently showcased their knowledge and presented some of their class work during the annual Cruizin’ Kenney event. The event provides an opportunity for students to show their friends and family members what they learned throughout the school year.
Fifth graders of Central Square Intermediate School received accolades at a fifth grade awards ceremony. Presidential Awards for Academic Excellence were distributed to students by teacher recommendation.
