Volney Students Learn the History of Mithila Painting

After months of rehearsals, members of the John C. Birdlebough Drama Club are ready to take the stage for their spring musical production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” Set in New York City in 1922, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is about a young girl from Kansas who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself.
Sandy Creek High School will present the musical Oliver on March 14 and 15. Showtimes will be at 6 p.m. on both days. Tickets for the show are $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for adults and will be available at the door.
The Lura Sharp Elementary School production of “Aladdin” will be held on March 14 and 15 with Friday’s show at 7 p.m. in the elementary school auditorium and a matinee performance on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets for the show are $3 for adults, children under four are free.
Student’s musical talents were on display March 4 when they took the stage at EJD. An Evening of Jazz featured the EJD Jazz Band, the Phoenix Varsity Jazz Band and special guests, All That Jazz.
Constellation Energy Nuclear Group’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 2 is back online and achieved 100 percent yesterday (March 9) afternoon. Station personnel completed necessary repairs and post-maintenance testing in order to return the unit to service.

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior/Senior High School partnered with Oswego County Opportunities’ Services to Aid Families program to bring an important message about healthy relationships to students at the school.
The Pulaski High School Science Club was formed by teachers Carl Nylen and Thomas Pullen to increase students’ interest in science outside of the classroom setting. The co-advisors hoped to work on projects that would teach students the importance of sustainability and conservation of the world’s resources.
