The Oswego High School Top 100 students were recognized for the twenty-fourth consecutive year. Several hundred people packed the Oswego High School Dining Hall for the annual “Top 100” dinner. This year, Oswego Rotary, PathFinder Bank, NBT Bank, and the Oswego City School District hosted the event with the Oswego City School District Food Service Department supplying a buffet extravaganza.
One recent classroom experience was a visit by an occupational therapist that was coordinated by the program’s instructor to coincide with the students’ reading of Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, a novel about a young girl that does not allow Cerebral Palsy to define her.
The City of Oswego and The Musicians Union of Oswego County are pleased to announce the schedule of free concerts for 2013. The 2013 Summer Sunset Concert Series, an Oswego tradition since 1935, marks the 78th year of this community program. All concerts are scheduled for Wednesday evenings in Breitbeck Park.
The Pulaski Public Library Annual Book Sale will be held at the Snow Memorial Building Auditorium, 4917 N. Jefferson St., Pulaski. The hours will be July 25, noon to 7 p.m., July 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and July 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Parents and community members turned out to see what budding scientists and researchers at the school have been working on and visit with some of the local community health and wellness organizations in the gymnasium.
The Sandy Creek Elementary School library, staffed this year by Teresa Crast, is where many students as kindergarten and first graders, will learn to love books and reading. In a very special project by Crast, it is also where they will learn to be authors, illustrators and even storytellers themselves.
Volney Elementary School Principal Jeff Hendrickson acknowledged twenty-three students at the school for demonstrating role model behavior and a marked improvement in their studies.

Senior Day is an annual event at Oswego County BOCES, marking a time to celebrate and honor graduates for their hard work and educational achievements.
