Sixth grade students at Granby Elementary School spent several weeks during the latter part of December exploring unit rates and calculating sales tax, discounts, and percentages as well as learning how these concepts apply to real world.
Gordon L. Heagle, 68, a resident of Oswego passed away on Monday January 7, 2013, at home following a lengthy illness.

Oswego Hospital welcomed its first baby of the year, Natalie Storme Backus at 1:04 a.m. on New Year’s Day. She weighed six pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.
As I reflect on my time in office, I am proud of what my staff and I have accomplished. Over the course of the past two years, my office has held over 40 town hall meetings, met with hundreds of constituents, small businesses, and organizations.
The students were nominated by their classroom teacher and received certificates presented by Granby Elementary School Principal Heather Perry at a recent awards ceremony.
