Area students explored healthcare careers during Oswego Health’s recent MASH Camp (Medical Academy of Science and Health) held for two days at Oswego Hospital. The students, who are entering the eighth and ninth grades, took part in interactive rotations through numerous hospital departments that included the lab, pharmacy and medical imaging.
Next month, a course that outlines different techniques in creating resumes and cover letters will be offered on September 6 from 2-4 p.m. and on September 16 from 2-4 p.m. to allow patrons two separate times to attend.

I just adopted a new cat, Mandy, to keep my other cat, Jocko, company. They are getting along fine together, but there is a problem. The Humane Society told me Mandy was litter trained, but that is apparently not true. She keeps going outside the box. Members of the women’s golf league at Emerald Crest Golf Club in Palermo recently held their second annual “Pink Night” captain and crew tournament in support of Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program. The event raised a total of $1,035 for the OCO Cancer Services Program.
